HEARTFELT MEALS from St. Rose de Lima Parish has been very successful. Western Mass Elder Care has already used our system as a model for other churches beginning a weekend program. The second Sunday of each month, the Heartfelt group has been preparing and delivering between 90 and 100 meals in the Aldenville area. We can use one or two spare drivers! If you can be a substitute driver, delivering meals a few times a year, please call Denis St. Laurent at 537-4935. This is not a permanent driving route, we just need a few substitute drivers in case of illness or vacations. Thank you!
BAKE SALE FOR RELAY FOR LIFE Next weekend, April 26-27, following all Masses at St. Rose, there will be a bake sale to assist Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Thank you for your support. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Dear Parishioner…Around & About Ste. Rose,
First Communion
Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 AM the children of Ste. Rose de Lima Parish received their First Holy Communion during the visit of the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XV1, to the United States. The Holy Father’s pastoral visit is encouraging all people of faith to embrace the fullness of faith by living lives consistent with the message of the Gospels. It is my earnest prayer that the First Eucharist children and their families return often to the celebration of the Eucharist. With a lively faith and frequent reception of the Eucharist "our" parish will increasingly become a spiritual haven for all who seek God’s love and peace.
MDA Lock-Up!
The "lock-up" for MDA was ever so brief! It was brief because upon arrival $1,650.99 was raised to "bail" me out! The bail was set at $1,600.00. Thanks to every one who made a contribution to this year’s MDA fund-raising event. The real winners are the children with MDA who will attend camp this summer. Thank You!
Please pardon me!
Last week’s bulletin announced a recruiting effort to encourage the youth of the parish to become altar servers and lectors for the 9:00 AM children’s liturgy; however, I failed to have sign-up sheets in the vestibule of the church. The sheets are there this weekend. Please encourage your children to begin the practice of fuller participation in parish life. It could lead to a lifetime of wonderful service – what a gift!
Spring
The new plantings of last Fall are beginning to germinate as the warm weather heads our way. It will take a few seasons for the plantings to grow to full size. Many parishioners are anxious to see the new plantings appear. The landscaper’s plan is to have blossoms from Spring through Autumn. Let’s watch our property bloom.
