Minister
Sr. Frances White, SSJ
Sr. Frances White joined
our pastoral staff in June
2006. She has been a Sister of
St. Joseph and has served in
the Springfield Diocese for 45
years.
Having graduated from
UMass, Amherst with a degree
in physical education in 1961,
she taught at Cathedral High
School as a lay teacher.
After entering the community,
she taught in several
parochial schools until 1976.
She received her degree
in Urban Pastoral Ministry at
Emmanuel College in Boston,
and served at Immaculate
Conception, Easthampton MA,
for four years before
ministering to the people of
St. John the Evangelist Church
in Agawam for 19 years.
She was elected to the
Congregational Leadership Team
from 1999-2005. Sr. Fran
is presently serving the
home-bound, infirmed, elderly,
hospitalized and nursing home
residents of St. Rose de Lima
Church. |
